Relax

Be patient

Sit by the river with your fishing pole

Most of all

Do not be dragged down the rabbit hole

Overtime

Bad character

Will be exposed

Then you will completely know

It is time get up

And

Permanently

Walk away from the sideshow

*

For a long time

She had suffered much

No longer heard the beautiful sounds

Of the garden chimes

Final days

I sat in a chair

Next to her hospital bed

In the end

“I no longer believe”

Is what she said

*

Leaning

Against the tile wall

Taking a long hot shower

Scrubbing

Away the dirt

With a new bar of soap

Did not

Remove humiliation

But

Provided

Her

A bit of hope

*

Frantically

Scratching

At his deformed image

In the mirror

Hyperventilating

He cried

“Please help I need air”

Fallen idol

Emotional bowl of jello

Desecrated soul

Pissed in his own rice bowl

Alone

There are no more calls

No longer the star

Of the Masquerade balls

Husband Who Really Upset Hot Blooded Wife

Pour me some bourbon

I just upset my women

Do you have spare bed?

She wants to chop off my head

Bartender help or I’m dead

Stories

From

Men, Women, Marriage, Relationships, Friendship, Love & Sex

Elite make the rules
Peasants follow just like mules
Feed me leftovers
Send young men to be soldiers
Bow down to the pawnbroker

*

Privileged
Less privileged
Social climbers
Boomerang slackers
Believe in the good book
Or burn in hell
Pray five times a day
Study Quran
Or an infidel
Sprinkle ancient dust here and there
Until on their deathbed
Atheists do not seem to care
Who is right?
Who is wrong?
Respect each other’s beliefs
Start getting along
Before humankind is gone

*

Fed beast for long time

Today woke up changed my mind

Freedom what I need

Veins dry nothing left to bleed

Tomorrow will sow new seeds

Stories

From

Peeling Off The Human Condition

Bahia

Walking along the Praia
I met a lady
With
Long black hair streaked with gray
She whispered:
“Make love to me
only
this one time
and
I promise
Macumba
will make sure you always remember tonight.”
Now
Alone
My Dreams
Always the same
Sitting on a milk crate
Using a hacksaw
Trying to cut chains from my legs
Back-and-Forth
Back-and-Forth
Back-and-Forth

Yucatan Peninsula
Mexico

Lying in hammock
Cigarette hanging from mouth
Soles of feet badly cracked
The fisherman
Mumbled
To his dog
Stop
Licking
Bottle of tequila
On dirt ground

Travel Tales

From

Travels With The Hermit Poet

*

When feeling alone
I visit snakes in garden
Outcasts-Friends that last

*

Boots places on stoop
Morning garden duties done
Time to watch moss grow

*

Year after year
Designing, hauling, digging
Section after section
The hermit painstakingly
created his dream garden

*

Humble on my knees
Casually pulling weeds
My garden comforts me

*

Drops summer rain
Heliconia & gingers
No longer thirsty
